Self-grasping and wrong desire are like crops
destroyed by frost.
If the Dharma, which is meant to tame the mind,
becomes a source of arrogance,
the root of virtue is cut.
This is my heart's advice.
Prematurely attempting to benefit beings is like a leader
with no sight.
It is a cause of not helping others
and of suffering for oneself.
Make effort in loving-kindness, aspiration,
and dedication.
This is my heart's advice.
The Jewel Treasury of Advice.
Drikung Bhande Dharmaradza (1704-1754)
The book advertised herein is Khenchen Konchog Gyaltshen Rinpoche's commentary on the The Jewel Treasury of Advice.
Taking time to reflect or to simply be “in the moment” can not only create calm, it can promote understanding, compassion and forgiveness.

What is a Pureland?
"What is the pureland really? The pureland is one's own stainless primordial awareness. If, from moment to moment, you regain and retain your own primordial enlightened nature: that is the Pureland. Everything comes from your own mind. Understand that, remain there:that is the Pureland."
